A really lovely family run cafe by day and bespoke restaurant some evenings. Decor includes touches such as William Morris wallpaper and carefully chosen objects creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
We have been for brunch/lunch when in addition to cakes, paninis and a select menu there is a daily choice of delicious hot dishes. On restaurant nights a menu of Sardinian delights offers a delightfully different choice and the food is beautifully prepared from really good ingredients. Our dishes included fish starters, a board of salamis and Sardinian cheeses in optimal condition. Our mains included a Sardinian fish stew and two different Sardinian pasta dishes. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert on this occasion- but next time.
Service is calm, warm and friendly. We love Ancient Grains.
